Radical Honesty with Marvin Schulz & Sebastian James
6 - 13 August 2021 | booked out
A week-long Radical Honesty workshop on the beautiful Pilion peninsula in Greece
Who said Radical Honesty and Deep Relaxation don’t go together? If you want to fully explore the world of Radical Honesty but value your quiet and leisure time as well, this retreat is perfect for you. Join long-term Radical Honesty practitioners and Prague-based flatmates Marvin Schulz and Sebastian James for a week of self exploration, in-depth training in Radical Honesty and raw adventures on the pristine Pelion peninsula.
The mornings are dedicated to your formal training in Radical Honesty, teaching you the skills to live your life out loud and play more. The afternoon is filled with beach time, trips to nearby waterfalls or simply hanging out and enjoying nature and each other’s company.
Our Daily Routine
Each morning, before breakfast, we’ll do an (optional) session of yoga and meditation. At 8:30, we’ll eat breakfast – fresh fruits, locally-made bread, real Greek yogurt and organic porridge. Since we are an active part of the Kalikalos community, we will all help out with food preparation at times.
From 9:30 till 1:30, after breakfast, we’ll come together for our Radical Honesty group session. The sessions will include an introduction to Radical Honesty; a deeper dive into RH; and learning through theory, discussions, sharing and exercises on how to be radically honest. We’ll do group and paired exercises as well as hot seat work.
At 1:30, we’ll break for lunch.
After lunch, we’ll be free to hike through the lush green forest, lay on a white sandy beach, swim in the Aegean Sea, chill at the village tavernas, lounge in the hammocks, talk amongst ourselves, apply what we learnt in the morning sessions.
From 6 PM to 8:30 PM is community time, when 2 or 3 of our group will garden and cook together, or help later on with the clean-up. Dinner will be served at 8:00, and after eating we can talk, dance, sing, drink, play and hang out. We can practice being radically honest with each other and converse about how we can live our lives in love and in contribution to others.
Our host in Greece is the Alexandros Center for Holistic Education whose vision is: “A world where authentic community and sustainable living are the foundation of all aspects of our society.” And their mission is: “Pioneering holistic education through the medium of authentic community from the heart of Greece.”
Included in the price of the workshop are vegetarian/vegan meals prepared from local produce.
The 6th is arrival day with registration in the afternoon and the welcome meal at 8pm. The 13th is departure day, after breakfast everybody helps to get the rooms ready for the next group – like the group before got the rooms ready for you.
STAYING AT THE GUESTHOUSE KATIES: Who prefers to stay at a more secluded and beautiful place closer to the sea may choose the option ‘Guesthouse twin’ (15 walking minutes to the Alexandros center). In this case you will pay your accommodation, Euro 14o, separately directly to the guesthouse. For further information please contact

About Marvin Schulz
Marvin Schulz, M.Sc., is one of the most experienced Radical Honesty Trainers and organizes workshops in Europe, Africa, and the Americas.
As a former auditor for investment banks in New York and Executive Assistant for a multi-billion dollar company on Broadway, Marvin experienced the detrimental effects of lying and withholding first hand: at age 26, he was depressed and burned out. “I had a promising career in front of me. However, I felt horrible and empty. None of the money I made could compensate for my inner yearning for love, connection and a happy life. After deciding not to kill myself, I opted for a Radical Honesty Workshop. After that, I still killed myself, but in a very different way: I killed my self-image and completed my past.” He left the corporate rat wheel and embarked on his journey towards a more authentic, joyous, and connected life. He moved back to Germany and healed his own wounds by having honest conversations with important people. He cleaned up his past using Radical Honesty. Dr. Blanton invited Marvin to live at his place in Virginia for one season and certified him as a Radical Honesty trainer three years later. Marvin has the ability to bring humor into seemingly serious processes while staying compassionate and curious. He is comfortable going into discomfort and can guide participants in re-experiencing hurt and pain while holding them in the here and now. His style is inquisitive, simple, and direct – often with a wink and never without compassion. Marvin has lived in China, Mexico, South Africa and the United States and studied cross-cultural communication. He currently resides in Prague, Czech Republic, where he produces music, drinks coffee and enjoys what he often calls the most beautiful city in the world.
